ADA Compliance Assistant

A concept project: a question-and-answer assistant for checking renovation plans against ADA rules.

Renovation and redesign work for eldercare facilities has to meet ADA and Older Americans Act requirements — grab bars, door widths, ramp slopes, emergency access. Checking every plan by hand against the full text of the regulations is slow and easy to get wrong.

How it would work:

• Knowledge base
  ADA and Older Americans Act requirements, organized and searchable
• Assistant
  A language model that answers plain-language design questions
• Compliance check
  Flags a renovation plan's likely gaps before construction starts

The goal is to make compliance checks faster during the design stage, so problems get caught on paper instead of on site.

This is a concept I developed for my MS in AI coursework — no knowledge base or working assistant exists yet.
